Pp199. 2 colour plates of flies, illustrations. Green cloth, titled & ruled in dark green/black on spine and upper board, uniform with other Herbert Jenkins titles. Quite used - good only. Lacks dust-wrapper. Contains complete instructions for dressing 500 trout and grayling flies. A copy in the possession of Dr. Mark Vernon-Roberts carries the inscription "With compliments & 'tight lines.' J. Bernard. (S.P. Ogden Smith.) March 10th 1932." An Internet search reveals that an S.P. Ogden-Smith was a presenter on Radio Luxenbourg in 1938. S.P. Ogden-Smith. "S.P. Ogden-Smith (Chief Announcer in 1938)" ("Radio Pictorial", July 1938). "Ogden Smiths, for James Ogden and the Smith brothers (who happened to be gunsmiths) who partnered with the widow Ogden and ran the company. There's an Ogden Smiths Exchequer made by JW Young and, in fact, except for a couple of Heaton Nottingham reels, everything in the 1937 catalog was made by Young." (Classic Reels Forum). .
