Erstausgabe
Unbound. Zustand: Fine. Large broadside with illustration of a pitcher. Framed and matted to 13½" x 20½". Unexamined out of the frame, the paper appears to be the slightest bit toned, else fine. Slatedale is a small town (under 500 residents) 16 miles north of Allentown. One wonders how the Slatedale A.A. fared against the Philadelphia Colored Giants, a team which was fearsome in the earlier part of the century, but which by the late 1930s had been supplanted by the Philadelphia Stars in the Negro Leagues. Presumably this version of the Giants was more of a barnstorming team with some evidence that as part of their game they engaged in comic repartee. Rare. *OCLC* locates no copies. Can be shipped unframed.
