All are in Sabin except for "Three Hours", "Modern French" and "Remarks". Six titles are first editions ("Modern French Judicature" is its first [only] appearance). "Remarks" first appeared in "The North American Review". Above the inscription "Matilda C. Ledyard". The inscription, in a different hand: "To dear Harry and his Maude from Aunt Lizzie. This book was bound for and given to my mother Matilda C. Ledyard by my father Henry Ledyard. The Examen was written by my Grandfather and was thought to be remarkable of ___ French.
