Hardcover. Zustand: Good. 1st Edition. Signed and Inscribed by author Kay Thompson, this is an First Printing (stated) of the second book of the beloved "Eloise' series. This copy has a lengthy and sweet inscription, the recipient's name somewhat illegible to my eyes, but with lots of loving, charming phrases and the signed "moi Eloise" on one page, and signed plainly Kay Thompson on the opposite copyright page. Generally a superb copy, except for one major condition note, being a small area, about 1sq inch, at the foot of the spine where the board has been damaged, leaving the board underneath exposed. Doesnt really effect the integrity of the binding, or the appearance of the book once the dustjacket is on. Dustjacket likewise rather nice overall excepting that same small area with a small chip at the foot of the spine, else just minor rubbing and shelfwear, now in brand new brodart procetion. Interior bright, clean, no marks or blemishes beyond inscription. Boards are clean and firm, binding is solid, tight, sound. Signed by Author(s).
