Book lightly shelf-cocked. Pages gently and evenly toned, but clean. The front endpaper has cracked along the gutter, but is still firmly attached. Previous owner's name and date (Oct. 1917) written at the head of the title page, along with a stamp from 13th Naval Defense District and another name. A half page of pencil notes, to the rear free end paper. Otherwise clean and free of notes or writing. Diagrams, graphs and tables throughout. From The University of Chicago Science Series.
