    Paperback. Privately printed. SIGNED. 47pp. Thin octavo [24.5 cm] Stapled tan and red printed wraps. Very good. The covers are mildly soiled and bumped. The frontispiece photograph is detached, but present. The pages are yellowed. Inscribed by Deming on the title page. Edwin Deming was an early illustrator and painter of the American West where he traveled with a few Indian tribes. He grew up with the Sac, Fox, and Winnebago in western Illinois and later lived among Indians for thirty-one years.

Signed by Edwin Willard Deming on the title page. Prints the text of letters to Deming, from Frederic Remington, Francis LaFlesche (an Omaha Indian), etc. Deming was an internationally known painter and sculptor of the American Indian, and of animal life; he was born in Ashland, Ohio, in 1860.
