The life and work of Edward Walters, wood engraver, teacher and private press publisher is presented here in this attractively illustrated book by Fleece Press. Hardback book, size: 9" x 11.5", blue decorated boards, blue buckram spine, p.120, wit…h colour plates, some tipped-in, and black & white illustrations presenting the range of Walter's work, together with photographs of Walters. Printed on an 1853 Albion Press on Magnani mould made paper. There is a biographical note by Tom Walters about his father and John Gray has produced a revised bibliography of the printed work, including ephemera examples. This item comes with a bespoke slipcase, plain pale blue cloth, made by Stephen Conway, bookbinder, as Fleece Press did not provide a slipcase for the book. Both book and slipcase are new.
