Die Kommentare stammen von Joseph Justus Scaliger (1540-1609) und Peter Zorn (Zornius, 1682-1746). Das Portrait Zorn stammt von Christian Fritzsch nach Esaias Schumacher. Aus dem Besitz des Mathematikers und Astronom Johann(is) Ephraim Scheibel (1736-1809), dessen Besitzvermerk sich in der unteren Ecke des Titeblattes, datiert 1759, findet.
