Large Format Antique Map by Pinkerton, Fine English Engraving c.1814 This impressive antique map of Denmark originates from John Pinkerton's celebrated Modern Atlas, published in London circa 1814. Known for its clarity and precision, the map exemplifies early 19th-century British cartography at its finest. It includes… detailed topographical and political information on Jutland, Funen, Zealand, and the surrounding islands, extending to parts of Schleswig-Holstein and southern Sweden. The engraving is remarkably detailed, with fine copperplate lines that create a subtly three-dimensional appearance?typical of Pinkerton's style. Mountain ranges, coastlines, rivers, and towns are clearly marked, and boundaries are delicately hand-colored in shades of yellow, green, red, and rose.
