A fair copy in original light tan diced calf, joints and corner tips rubbed, the backstrip faded and with slight loss of the leather at the head and tail, gilt lettered on red leather lettering pieces, SPCK blind stamp in the centre of the front board. Ms provenance of Ardingley Lending Library dated 1844 and number vol. 3 on the front pastedown endleaf. The first four titles printed by Gilbert and Rivington, the final two by William Clowes and each title-page carrying a printed series number in the bottom-left corner of the title pages. Library Hub locates only a single copy of the first to titles and none of the editions we offer of the other titles.
