Armorial bookplate in each volume; small date stamp on rear pastedowns. Light wear at extremities, soiling to rear board of volume I. Internally clean and bright; overall, very good. Housed in four 19th century quarter-leather slipcases with cloth dust jackets.

Portrait roundels in black and gilt to upper boards. Housed in two matching green paper-covered card slipcases with gilt cartouche and black titles to panels. All volumes clean and crisp with no annotation or inscriptions, and appear unread. Slipcases lightly surface scuffed, and 4-volume slipcase marked with small surface loss, and bumped top rear edge with associated 6-cm closed split, which still holds firm. A Fine set in Very Good slipcases overall. All of Eliot's much-loved full-length fiction. Scarce as a complete matching set. Heavyweight so a contribution towards increased postage costs will be requested for overseas delivery.
