The term paper begins with an introduction followed by a discussion of the notion 'spirituality', which can be considered in a religious and in a non-religious context. After the definition and discussion of the phenomena 'spirit' and 'spirituality' the paper analyses how David Malouf treats these phenomena, particularly spirituality, in his novel 'The Conversations at Curlow Creek' with particular reference to three passages which exemplify his treatment of spirituality. Indeed, spirituality is a recurrent theme in this novel and therefore this paper discusses spirituality in a religious and non-religious sense as well as the spiritual link between the protagonists. Diese Hausarbeit beschäftigt sich mit David Maloufs australischem Roman 'The Conversations at Curlow Creek' und besonders mit seiner Behandlung des Phänomens Spiritualität.
