Marbled text block edges and endpapers. Good plus. Heavily rubbed at the extremities. The leather of the spine is a bit chipped. The text block is cracked at the beginning. The engravings are offset on the opposite pages. Missing a plate at p. 188, and a plate at p. 199. Else, all plates present. Descriptive letterpress by the Rev. J. Trusler, and E. F. Roberts. Six volumes, 4to. Frontispiece and engraved second title in volume I plus 148 of 150 engraved plates, two plates in volume VI apparently never bound in. Original gilt, red and black decorated cloth, a.e.g., spine ends bumped, small patch of wear to the upper joint of volume III, lower covers with some marking, but overall a well preserved and still tightly bound set.
