Illustrated by Randolph Caldecott, a British artist and illustrator born in Chester. The Caldecott Medal was named in his honour as his abilities as an artist were promptly and generously recognised by the Royal Academy. In the original brown cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and the odd small mark to the board. A split to the front board edge has resulted in light fraying of the cloth there. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. Very Good. book.
