Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. London, His Majesty's Stationery Office, 1948 (first thus). Octavo, iv pages plus 39 colour-printed maps of British colonial possessions (many of them folding). Red cloth lettered in gilt; covers sunned, creased and slightly marked; shelfmark in white ink on the spine; ownership signature on the front free endpaper; tiny closed tears to a few of the folding maps, near the stubs; a few minor creases; a very good copy overall. 'This collection of maps is intended to serve as a supplement to the Colonial Office List. It may be possible in a later issue to revert to the practice of inserting the maps at appropriate places in the text itself, for easier reference. With that object in view the maps have been published in a size uniform with the main volume' (introduction). A search of institutional holdings suggests that this 1948 issue was the only map supplement issued.
