First American edition originally published under the title "Code de la Bibliophile Moderne" by the Union Latine d'Editions in Paris. Together with a signed letter on his own stationary by the bookdealer Harry W.Schwartz to the former owner (26 typed lines) April 10, 1940. Sprache: Englisch.

An inspiration for clients of the Limited Editions Club. The original essay by Maurice Robert for a French bibliophiles group, was translated by Jacques LeClerq, and then re-translated, that is, Americanized by book designer, Frederic Warde, with pages of a glossary of terms.
