Hardcover. Zustand: Fair. A new edition for 1837. [xl], 288pp. Half bound in tan leather over marbled paper-covered boards, gilt-stamped lettering on the spine. Green endpapers. 8vo. Boards are heavily worn, rubbed and scuffed all over, with leather chipped and cracked on corners and spine ends. Text block edges soft and dust darkened. Internally endpapers and first and last few pages have some staining and warpage, with a little browning throughout but generally clean and neat. Bookplate on front paste down (illegible) together with a label indicating the volume was once in the collection of Berkeley Divinity School with the date 1854.   It is likely that there were three issues of The Clerical Guide between 1817 and 1829, and then this new edition published in 1836.

Hardcover. Zustand: Good. A new edition. [xl], 288pp. In a later binding of brown cloth-covered boards. 8vo. Cloth is unevenly faded and a little marked, gently rounded on corners and spine ends, title label on spine chipped and crumbling. Text block edges a little toned. Three previous owner's bookplates on the front endpaper, with a historical note tipped in. A hint of aging to pages but generally internally neat, clean and tight. It is likely that there were three issues of The Clerical Guide between 1817 and 1829, and then this new edition published in 1836.

Hardcover. Zustand: Good. No Jacket. Comprehensive directory of clerical life, with a complete list of UK clergy, benefices, ecclesiastical divisions, etc. Bar light toning, all in VG internal order. Red tint to all block edges. Excellent period advertisements. Binding a little shaken, with front hinge opening slightly, but all holding firm. Black cloth well worn with some bumping to lower corners. Gilt decoration and titling. Increasingly hard to find in good order. 8vo. 40, xii, 676pp.

Fifty-Ninth Issue. Good copy in the original gilt-blocked black cloth boards, now somewhat rubbed and dust-toned at the edges, joints and endbands. Edges with thumb indexes and now somewhat dust-toned. Text block cracked in the preliminary advertisements, with mull holding secure. Endpapers lightly foxed, with the interior remaining tight, bright and clean. A well-preserved copy overall. Physical description; 32, xxviii, 2004, 11, xiv pages : illustrations ; 23 cm.
