Zustand des Schutzumschlags: dj. First Edition. First edition. Hardcover. First printing. The first book from magician, actor, and historian Ricky Jay. An often amusing look at how playing cards can be transformed into weapons with numerous illustrations and technical guides. A clean very near fine copy in a close to near fine dust jacket with a couple of tiny tears to the top of the spine and some other very minor wear. Signed and warmly inscribed by Jay on the title page: "For Allen Berlinski kindred spirit and good fried Ricky Jay 18 May 1981." The recipient was an author and collector of magic related material. A very nice copy of the much less common hardcover issue. Signed.
