The contributions collected in this Festschrift are thus to be understood both as reflections on and as illustrations of how a 'migration of constitutional ideas' functions in practice.; Das Bundesverfassungsgericht feiert im Jahr 2026 seinen 75. Geburtstag. Aus diesem Anlass haben Matthias Jestaedt, Anna-Bettina Kaiser, Angelika Nußberger und Andreas Voßkuhle Vertreterinnen und Vertreter der Höchstgerichte sowie sowie Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler aus 42 ausländischen Jurisdiktionen eingeladen, von außen einen Blick auf das Gericht und dessen Arbeit zu werfen. Die Beiträge tragen der in den vergangenen Jahrzehnten gewachsenen internationalen Vernetzung der Höchstgerichte im Allgemeinen und des Bundesverfassungsgerichts im Besonderen Rechnung. Sie kreisen unter anderem um folgende Fragen: Wie sieht die Interaktion des Bundesverfassungsgerichts mit ausländischen Höchstgerichten und dortigen scientific communities aus Welche Rechtsprechung findet Anklang, welche erregt Kritik Hat sich die Wahrnehmung des Bundesverfassungsgerichts im Laufe der Zeit geändert, gab es Phasen besonders enger Zusammenarbeit und Phasen der Gleichgültigkeit oder Entfremdung Werden Argumentationsfiguren und Rechtskonzepte übernommen - und, wenn ja, in welcher Weise Welche Faktoren haben sich aus internationaler Perspektive als nicht anschlussfähig erwiesen Und umgekehrt: Welche Erkenntnisse können das Bundesverfassungsgericht und die deutsche Rechtswissenschaft aus den internationalen Beobachtungen ziehen Die in dieser Festgabe versammelten Beiträge beleuchten das internationalisierte Umfeld, in welchem das Gericht heute agiert.
