Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: No Dust Jacket. No Date Circa 1860, pp 123 dispersed with a ruled sheet between eash printed page. Original red polished leather, brass clasp, gilt decoration to spine and front board, condition very good with some rubbing. Contents clean and tight, several names in ink to the blank pages most dated around 1876. A very good copy.

Cloth Gilt. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: None. Undated but a previous owners's inscription to the front free end-paper is dated 1879. The bevelled cloth is a little rubbed commensurate with age. All edges gilt. Birthdays noted include those of Queen Victoria, the Princess of Wales and the Princess of Prussia.

12mo, (105x82mm), [126]ff. Original broan lime calf, stamped with a honeycomb pattern, gilt lettered on the backstrip, some fading of the covers and the head and tail of the backstrip a little worn. Perhaps printed in Bristol and also issued by Mack in that city, The final pages carries a price list of the various bindings in which this little momento book was available. The book consists of a selection of biblical quotations, one for each day of the year printed on the verso of each leaf with of three quotations with dates the facing recto being ruled to be used for signatures, dates, &c. This volume has cleraly been used as a sort of family history aid memoir as there are a number of entries with dates (of birth and/or death) of members of a Totty family in the 19th and early 20th century. "Jerusalem" "1879" on the front and a carved Star of David on the front board. Gilt page edges all round. Hinge and text block firm. Various inked inscriptions to the front free end papers. Some light foxing to pages. Frontispiece sepia illustration of Moses in a basket. Various entries to the dates, the families seem to be predominantly the Cobbold family and the Cathcart family. An intriguing memoir.

Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. No Jacket. A delightful miniature book (4 x 3 inches). Brass bound blue cloth boards with hinged fastener in brass in good crisp condition. Gilt to all edges. Faded gilt decoration to front cover and spine. Neat faded ink dedication to title page. A biblical quotation printed opposite each date. Three dates to a page several of which have been annotated with family remembrances, again in neat inked handwriting. A little worn at spine extremities. Internal stitching broken so that May to September section loose. A lovely tactile thing!

The little book measures only 4 x 5 inches. Recent bookplates on the inside front cover. No date on title page or anywhere in the book, but it's clear from binding and materials that it's right around 1900, perhaps a bit earlier. Pages uniformly tinted a bit dark from age (and wood pulp). Days of the week on the right side, scripture verses and nice floral decorations (in color) on the left side. About 200 pages in all. There are a handful of birthdays written in (as intended) but the vast majority of the book is blank. Scarce. Please email with questions or to request photos.
