Hardcover, interior cloth shows fading, particularly on the front, where apparently a book sat for a very long time, so the surrounding cloth faded. There's also some fading on the backside as well, mainly along the edges and spine. The top edge of gilt is chipping and…eaten away near the spine area and there is an ink spot on the exterior page long edge. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues. Pages are toned due to age but are free of any handwriting, underlining, or any other markings. Both end pages and pastedowns show a lot of foxing spots along with a few small stains. A good copy for reference purposes that has no library markings or previous owner notes.
