Bookplate of Edward Roundell Palmer showing greyhounds and armorial devices on a shield with the family motto 'Palma Virtuti.' This is the the son of eminent lawyer Roundell Palmer the first Earl of Selborne who was Lord High Chancellor under Gladstone. Full light brown calf lettered gilt at the spine, marbled edndapers. Some rubbing and wear, occasional very slight splitting at spine hinges, occasional wear at spine ends and lacking a few of gilt printed spine labels. Near VG with clean text. Signedes.
