He…started working as an illustrator for various newspapers, and his works normally had animals as main characters. He created the famous character of Gideon the duck. In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding with paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart. Some loss of paper to the boards, heavier to the front board. Marks and some discolouration to the boards. A little bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age-toned and generally clean with the odd spot.
