Softcover. Zustand: Near Fine. Oblong 16mo. Measuring 6.5"x 4". Spiral bound with flexible paper boards with "Snap Shots" printed on the front. Contains 28 hand colored black and white photograph measuring 3" x 2". Some slight curling on the foredge, near fine with fine photographs. A family photo album with hand-colored photographs from the 1950s. The album includes pictures from a family get-together with mostly elderly family members in the shots. Each picture has been hand-colored with bright yellows, pinks, and blues to show the unseen color in the family members clothing. The photos feature groups of the family posing together, sometimes staged strangely as one photo shows everyone lying down on the ground. Another photo has an elderly woman standing on a chair with a cane lifted into the air and a younger man lying on a trampoline. One of the photos shows some of the elderly members playing shuffleboard. Many couples are seen holding hands, there is one picture of an elderly couple kissing, and another of two elderly women holding hands and embracing each other very closely. Some of the group shots show other family members with cameras in hand, intimating that multiple members of the family had an interest in photography. A compact but intriguing collection of hand-colored photographs from a family party in the 1950s.
