Preußischen und Königl. Niederländischen Diensten, designirtem Capitain im Kaiserlich Russischen Generalstabe, zuletzt Brigade-General im Genie-Corps der Spanisch-Carlistischen Armee von Aragon und Valencia" (Titel), sein Vorwort datiert zu "Sagan, am 1. August 1847" in Schlesien und bezieht den Dank an Herzog Wilhelm zu Braunschweig und Graf von Wallmoden-Gimborn ein. Er lebte zuletzt auf Schloß Friedenstein bei Gotha.
