Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - 'A Gothic werewolf romance where the Beast stays the beast!' How can you love what you are never allowed to see Lord Darren has been cursed for twenty years. Whilst his family of werewolves has lived on the borders of Marridon for many generations, his current affliction has nothing to do with being a werewolf. His grief at the sudden loss of his parents has consumed him in a horrific shadow, one that when looked at directly causes incurable madness. His meeting with Maedlynn, a young woman plunged into poverty at the hands of a careless father, has given him hope. In Maedlynn he sees the kindness and affection he was never offered in his time of need, and everyone on Lord Darren's estate has confidence that their growing attachment will end his misery-- if his cousins don't try to stand in the way of his happiness. 'A sparkling story and a retelling of Beauty And The Beast - where the Beast stays as the Beast. The two main characters, Maedlynn and Darren, are so lovely with and to one another - but the supporting cast is amazing. Searle got my vote as Best Butler! Plus werewolf intrigue and politics. I like how Darren deals with his demons (literally) and that he manages to beat them back. The vivid language grabs you straight away and I laughed a few times. 100% recommend!' -Joyce Chng.…
