Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - In I Am a Border Collie, part of the I Am a Dog series, a gusty afternoon scatters a field of soccer balls-and a determined herder brings them home. Through playful imagination and keen observation, Lucía lowers into a Border Collie's stance, circling wide, holding with her 'eye,' and guiding every last ball to a safe cone pen. This gentle, emotionally aware story follows a child from eager to overwhelmed to focused and proud. Along the way, kids learn how real Border Collies work-balance points, quiet steps, blocking and turning, choosing the outside first-while practicing empathy for animals and noticing body language: low tail, soft body, steady gaze. Includes a fact page with kid-friendly, accurate information about Border Collies: where they come from, why they're so energetic, the famous 'eye,' and thoughtful ways families can meet a working dog's needs. A warm read-aloud for ages 5-10, dog lovers, soccer fans, and classrooms exploring problem-solving and self-regulation. Written by Kimberlee Everson and published by Sky Tortoise Press, I Am a Border Collie celebrates dogs with imagination, real science, and heart. …
