Der Schwerpunkt Fauràs liegt eigentlich in der Komposition kammermusikalischer Werke. Dadurch ist seine Musik au�erhalb seines Heimatlandes wenig bekannt geworden. Fauràs Requiem weicht von der traditionellen Totenmesse ein wenig ab. Er fügt einen weiteren Teil In paradisum ein, das traditionell bei der �berführung des Leichnams von der Kirche zum Friedhof erklingt. Insgesamt versucht Faurà ein friedvolles Bild des Todes zu zeichnen.
