Most of the experiments included in the third edition stood to the scrutiny of laboratories. Presentation of experiments in a lucid and straight forward manner was observed to be the merit of the third edition. However, that edition has now become several years old. During this period rapid developments have taken place with regard to instrumentation and modification of existing experimental protocols.
