Hardcover. Zustand: New. Language: English. India's vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 articulates a long-term development pathway that integrates economic growth with environmental sustainability, social welfare, and accountable governance. While India has achieved notable economic progress, translating growth into inclusive and sustainable development outcomes remains a key challenge. This edited volume brings together empirical research, policy analysis, and region specific case studies to examine India's developmental trajectory through the lenses of sustainability, governance, markets, and social welfare. A distinctive contribution of the book is its strong emphasis on Northeast India, a region whose developmental experiences and scholarly insights are often underrepresented in mainstream academic and policy literature. The chapters are contributed by scholars, researchers, and practitioners from diverse disciplinary backgrounds and are organised into three thematic sections: environment and national policy; governance and social welfare; and markets and service sector studies. Collectively, the volume offers evidence-based perspectives to inform policy debates and academic discourse in the context of India's journey towards becoming a developed, equitable, and sustainable nation by 2047.
