It is in fact a book which depicts the process of the development of Mohandas into Mahatma Gandhi. The heading itself suggests that here the whole story emphasises to depict him as the journey of a simple man. The book deals with the Gandhian vision which according to author was imbibed by Gandhiji taking it from the Indian Hindu Tradition. The author thinks that assimilating the ideas enshrined in his vision Gandhi himself became a product of the ideas.
