Sixty years have elapsed ever since India achieved independence but the development of her different regions has been in a haphazard way so much so that some regions have shown an alarming progress while others are still living in their primitive stage. The progress of one area has been done at the cost of the progress of the other. The economic policy of our Government has been such that much emphasis has not been given to those areas which are situated far from the developed areas.
