Originalbroschur. Zustand: Gut. 191 Seiten; Illustrationen. Einband leicht berieben. - The hallmark of Ethiopian urbanization is the critical role of the large number of emerging towns spread over the vast rural landscape where the greatest part of the Ethiopian population resides. Amdework is one of such towns. Transforming the huge potential of emerging towns for sustainable development into reality requires diagnostic, analytical, and planning capacities. These capacities have to be inclusive, spatially specific, and systemic. Dedicated to this endeavour, this book assembles cartographic, narrative-based, and metabolic approaches in a participatory and stakeholder-engaged way, and constructs a profile that reveals a broader geographic view of the processes that underpin the functioning, growth, and development of Amdework.
