Thisconferenceseriesseekstobringtogetherresearchersstudying theuseofintelligentdataanalysisinthesevariousdisciplines,tostimulate- teractionsothateachdisciplinemaylearnfromtheothers. Soastoencourage suchinteraction,wedeliberatelykepttheconferencetoasingletrackmeeting. Thismeantthat,ofthealmost150submissionswereceived,wewereableto selectonly23fororalpresentationand16forposterpresentation. Inaddition tothesecontributedpapers,therewasakeynoteaddressfromDarylPregibon, invitedpresentationsfromKatharinaMorik,RolfBackhofen,andSunilRao,and aspecial datachallenge session,whereresearchersdescribedtheirattemptsto analyseachallengingdatasetprovidedbyPaulCohen.
