With photographs by David Douglas Duncan and an abundance of paintings, drawings, watercolors, lino cuts, and metal cut-outs, the Pace Gallery has captured the essence of Picasso's last twenty years in portraits of his second wife, Jacqueline Roque. This beautifully designed catalogue (the square format is pleasing to hold and offers a wider than average visual field for the works) gives full-page precedence to the images, with three brief, elegant essays bookending the plates.
