Complimenting the lovely watercolor illustrations are the actual photographs of their adventures. Their story describes the historical pony penning week held in Chincoteague, VA, which is now in its 91st year. According to historical records, pony penning has been held along the East Coast since Colonial times. The Chincoteague event is the last of its kind, and thousands of people come to watch the event which is always held the last week of July. The stories of Sunny and Jess will continue to be told in subsequent books. Sunny and Jess Go to Preschool will be coming soon. …
