Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - The first English translation of Jeanne Guyon's The Way of the Child Jesus. Many have found spiritual satisfaction in the theology of Madame Guyon (1648-1717). In this short book The Way of the Child Jesus: Our Model of Perfection, Guyon writes her theology in a helpful way. She clearly describes the interior transformation caused by the mystery of the Child Jesus and offers hope for life lived in Christ's spiritual grace. Guyon shows that the Child Jesus may cling to us and provide a shelter from the storms of life. Translated and introduced by America's leading authority on Guyon, Nancy Carol James, this book offers wisdom for all seeking a profound and prayerful relationship with Christ. 'Not only is Madame Guyon a deep and profound theologian, but she invites the Christian into an ever deeper relationship with God. Madame Guyon stands alongside the greats in the mystical tradition-Mother Julian of Norwich, Meister Eckhart, and Thomas àKempis.' -- Dr. Ian Markham, dean of Virginia Theological Seminary Nancy Carol James has a PhD from the University of Virginia with her dissertation written about Jeanne Guyon. Other books by Nancy Carol James include Guyon's biography I, Jeanne Guyon. James has also translated and published Guyon's poems and emblems in her famous book The Soul, Lover of God. The front cover and title page show emblems drawn by Flemish artist D'Othon Vaenius Madame Guyon used these in her 1717 book The Soul, Lover of God. Endorsed by the Madame Guyon Foundation.…
