Platt Lynes became a celebrated photographer, beginning in 1931; Wheeler started the extraordinary small press, Harrison of Paris, in 1930, before commencing a thirty-year career at New York's Museum of Modern Art; and Wescott became a bestselling fiction writer, first in 1927, with several highly acclaimed novels. The photographs are accompanied by two new original texts that help to interpret this remarkable triangular relationship, and that provide a context for this virtual who's who of the 1920s and 1930s.
