In the dust jacket, with negligible shelfwear. French photographer Pierre Molinier (1900-1976) was known for using himself as a model, blending transvestism and fetish objects. He was friends with André Breton, Hans Bellmer, and Clovis Trouille, who all shared and encouraged Molinier's obsession to bend photography to his image and fantasies. He went on to influence a wide, international network of performance and action artists including Luciano Castelli and Salome (the Berlin Wild Painters), the Viennese Aktionists through Hanel Koeck, the artist group General Idea, Image Bank creators Michael Morris and Vincent Trasov, Robert Mapplethorpe, and many others.
