Paperback. Zustand: Good. St. Patrick: His Confession and Other Works (Green Hardcover, gold stamped, stained edges) St. Patrick: His Confession and Other Works is a powerful and illuminating volume that brings readers into direct contact with the heart, mind, and faith of one of the Church''s most beloved missionary saints. Published by Catholic Book Publishing Company, this book presents St. Patrick not merely as a legendary figure of Irish heritage, but as a deeply spiritual man whose writings reveal humility, courage, and unwavering trust in God. Through his own words, readers encounter a saint who lived the Gospel with extraordinary conviction. The centerpiece of the book is The Confession of St. Patrick, his autobiographical testimony written late in life. Far from being a boastful account, the Confession is a humble reflection on God''s mercy and providence. Patrick recounts his early years, his kidnapping and enslavement in Ireland, his conversion through suffering, and his eventual calling to return as a missionary. His voice is sincere, vulnerable, and filled with gratitude. The Confession allows readers to see Patrick as he saw himself: a sinner saved by grace, chosen by God for a mission he never sought but embraced wholeheartedly. Alongside the Confession, the book includes The Letter to Coroticus, a bold and pastoral appeal written to condemn violence against newly baptized Christians. This work reveals Patrick''s fierce love for his flock and his willingness to confront injustice. His words demonstrate a shepherd''s heart--one that defends the vulnerable and calls sinners to repentance with clarity and charity. The volume also contains traditional prayers attributed to St. Patrick, including selections from the Breastplate (Lorica), a stirring invocation of Christ''s protection. These prayers highlight Patrick''s profound awareness of spiritual warfare and his absolute reliance on the presence of Christ in every moment of life. They remain timeless expressions of trust, courage, and missionary zeal. Catholic Book Publishing Company presents these texts with pastoral sensitivity, offering helpful introductions, historical context, and clear formatting that makes the writings accessible to modern readers. The book is ideal for personal study, parish groups, RCIA candidates, and anyone seeking to deepen their understanding of Christian discipleship. What emerges from these pages is a portrait of a saint who evangelized not through power or prestige, but through prayer, perseverance, and love. Patrick''s writings reveal a man who knew suffering intimately yet responded with faith; who faced opposition yet remained steadfast; who saw himself as unworthy yet trusted completely in God''s call. His works continue to inspire believers to live courageously, forgive generously, and proclaim Christ with conviction. Ultimately, St. Patrick: His Confession and Other Works invites readers into a spiritual encounter with a saint whose legacy is far richer than legend. Through his own words, Patrick becomes a companion on the journey of faith--one who teaches humility, strengthens hope, and encourages every Christian to trust boldly in God''s providence.
