In his subterranean studio, decaying plaster walls frame billowing clouds, nude and costumed women flirt with the camera, and children struggle to take their first steps - all metaphors for Saudek's vision of his native Czechoslovakia." Profusely illustrated with full-page color and b/w plates. Foreword by Anna Farova. Facsmile of letter by Saudek tipped-in on blank page in front of book.
