Covers design, tools and other requirements, lofting, backbone and framing, preparation, applying the mesh and rods (exciting; when the boat begins to take shape), tying and compacting welded mesh, cementing hull and deck, curing, and pipe dreams. Plenty of illustrations (including the vessel 'Strumpet'), for a range of vessels with engines and/or sails. Mini versions were undergraduate engineering projects in the late 1960s . Ring bound volume, front not entirely engaged by now. Distinct foxing on covers and page edges, but inside the pages are virtually free of stains. The front cover is unfortunately the most affected. A few page edges are slightly dog-eared. Readable and usable. Acceptable; fair.
