Arnold Friberg (December 21, 1913 - July 1, 2010) was an American illustrator and painter noted for his religious and patriotic works. He is perhaps best known for his 1975 painting The Prayer at Valley Forge, a depiction of George Washington praying at Valley Forge.

Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. First edition. SIGNED. 175pp. Oblong quarto [25 cm by 28 cm] Red cloth with a gilt stamped title on the spine and a blind stamped title on the front cover. Boards barely perceptible warped at the fore-edges. Very small stain on the front free endpaper. Else, the pages are clean and bright. In the illustrated dust jacket, with moderate rubbing to the panels, a 2 1/2" scratch to the rear panel, and subtle sunning to the spine. Not only was Arnold Friberg known for bringing to life the characters in The Book of Mormon and Cecile B. DeMille's The Ten Commandments, but he was also highly esteemed for his paintings depicting Native American culture and the reverence for the land and people of the early west. Inscribed by Arnold Friberg on the half title page: "To _____ / Arnold Friberg / 1 December 1984.".
