The first book to recognize comic books as a serious field of collectables. The classic history of comic books as described throught the essays of Harlan Ellison, Roy Thomas, Ted white, Don Thompson, Ron Goulart, Richard Ellington, Dick Lupoff, Bill Blackbeard, Tom Fagan, Jim Harmon, and Chris Steinbrunner. There are 16 pages of full colour reproductions of classic Golden Age comic covers, as well as B / W illustrations. Corners lightly bumped and there is a light marking to the front free endpaper; else is clean, bright and solid.
