Hardcover. Zustand: Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Good. 1st Edition. Good condition. Minor wear to book corners and edges. Right tail corner of pages in middle of the book have been folded back, probably from the book being dropped. Otherwise interior is still very good. Dust jacket is worn with remnant of price sticker on front cover. Fremantle is named after Captain Charles Fremantle of HMS Challenger, who claimed Western Australia for the British. The colony's oldest surviving building stands near the spot where Fremantle landed, and the entire area is steeped in history dating back to the colony's earliest days. In this book, Kirwan Ward describes the origins and developments of twenty-nine of Fremantle's most significant buildings and other features, accompanied by Bruce Wroth's sketches.
