The Leeward Islands, the northern group of the Lesser Antilles, comprise the Virgin Islands, Anguilla, Saint Martin, Saint Barthélemy, Saba, Sint Eustatius, Saint Kitts, Nevis, Antigua, Barbuda, and Montserrat. South of these lie the Windward Islands, the central and southern volcanic arc of the Lesser Antilles, consisting of Dominica, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent, and Grenada. The southernmost subdivision is formed by the Leeward Antilles, situated off the coast of Venezuela, and including the islands of Aruba, Curaçao, and Bonaire.
