Area of sun-fading to jacket. SIGNED and INSCRIBED on the title page, 'To Stanley the Shofar (Chauffeur) with Thanks, Wolf Kahn.' Stanley Reifer was a New York real estate developer and Asian art collector with a sprawling home in Sag Harbor on Long Island's East End. He was also a modern art aficionado and had an interest in Jewish history and culture. Kahn, 1927-2020, was a German-born American painter. He emigrated to the U.S. in 1940 and studied under Hans Hofmann. His style combines the freedom & spontaneity of Abstract Expressionism with representational art, especially landscapes. Dust Jacket condition very good. SIGNED and INSCRIBED by artist.
