Paperback. Zustand: Very Good. Julian Cope's highly acclaimed autobiography and its long-awaited sequel in one extraordinary volume. Julian Cope shot to fame with eighties band 'Teardrop Explodes' during the punk era. Hailed as a visionary by those who recognise his genius and a madman by those who find him perplexing, he is one of the music industry's most intriguing cult figures. Head-On/Repossessed is written in Cope's own inimitable style and follows his journey through a time of incredible change -- within the music industry and his own life. Head-On was proclaimed Book of the Year by the Sunday Times and the Observer upon its publication in 1994 ('my heart burst' said its reviewer). The book's fame, reputation and incredible reception have only been heightened since then. Head-On now has an irrefutable place in the canon of musical literature. Repossesed, the second part of Cope's incredible story, delves back into the turmoil of the 80s music scene, and Cope's solo career. Its opening whirls back to 1983 and, on the succeeding pages, we see the glittering 80s years play out through Cope's singular, unique gaze, culminating in the writing of his first autobiography. The book has been read, but is in excellent condition. Pages are intact and not marred by notes or highlighting. The spine remains undamaged.…
