His main concern, however, is with the basic structure of the bidding, his contention being that once the Acol player has a comprehensive grasp of the fundamentals of the system, he will be in a much better position to graft his own favourite pieces of gadgetry. Accordingly, this book analyses in detail almost every uncontested sequence of bidding which is likely to occur at the table.
