The South West Peninsula Coastal Path, running along the coastline from Minehead in Somerset to the Dorset verge of Poole Harbour, is the longest continuous pedestrian right-of-way in the country. One of a series of routes designated by the Countryside Commission, it is being continuously improved in conjunction with the various County Council. The path passes through a wide variety of coastal - scenery - savage sea cliffs in North and West Cornwall and in East Dorset, the gentler sea cliffs of South Cornwall and South Devon and the huge hog's back coastline of North Devon.
